1. What is included in my trip?
Under each trip there is a “What is included” panel which lists all elements specifically included e.g. flights, hotels and their standard, meal basis, transfers, entrances, tours, porterage, guide or tour manager.
2. How do I make a booking?
You can fill in the online booking form on our website by clicking the “book” button on the trip page in which you are interested.
Alternatively you can contact us directly by email or telephone and we will send you a PDF version of our booking form that you can print, complete and post back to us.
In both cases we require a deposit of €250.00 per person (payment by cash/cheque /debit or credit card) to be sent directly to MAP Travel with the completed and signed booking form.
3. When is my balance due?
If you are booking your trip to travel within eight (8) weeks of departure, payment is required in full at the time of booking.
If booking prior to this, your balance is due eight (8) weeks prior to departure.
You can pay your balance by sending a cheque or contacting our Reservations team to pay by card. Please note that a 2% surcharge applies only to balances paid by credit card.
4. How do I pay for my booking?
All payments must be made in Euro. Payments can be made by cash, cheque, debit or credit card. Please note that a 2% surcharge applies only to balances paid by credit card.
5. How do I cancel my booking?

Your notice of cancellation will only be effective when it is received in writing by us at our offices. Cancellations charges as set out in the Terms & Conditions will apply.
6. Is my money protected?
MAP Travel is licensed by the Commission for Aviation Regulation and fully bonded to protect our customer's money - Travel Agents Licence Number T.A. 0474 and Tour Operators Licence No. T.O. 209.
MAP Travel is a member of the Irish Travel Agents Association and an accredited agent of IATA.
You can rest assured that your money is safe in any eventuality.
7. When will I receive final confirmation and my travel documents?
As soon as the booking form is fully completed and the deposit is paid, you will receive written confirmation within 48 hours of your booking. You will receive your confirmation invoice 10 weeks before departure and payment is due 8 weeks prior to travel. Once the balance is paid, you will receive payment confirmation. Your travel documents will be sent to you 10 – 12 days before you are scheduled to depart.
8. What is included in my travel documents?
Your travel documents will contain your day to day itinerary, your airline reference number or tickets (where applicable), hotel and transfer vouchers and any other information relevant to your trip.
9. Do I need a passport?
Irish citizens must possess a valid passport. As a general rule for travel outside of Europe the passport should be valid for at least six months beyond the return date of your holiday. Specific requirements will be indicated in the Important Information section under your trip on our website.
10. Do I need travel insurance?
Travel insurance is compulsory. MAP Travel can arrange travel insurance for you or you may arrange your own from a reputable provider which must be of an equivalent standard to the one we provide. Please note that if you wish to purchase the insurance policy we offer, all applicable premiums must be paid at the time of booking. Your attention is drawn to the exclusion clauses and excesses on our insurance policy and to the obligation contained therein to disclose any material facts, and in particular pre-existing medical conditions to the insurance provider at the time of purchasing the insurance policy.
11. Do I need a VISA?
Irish passport holders may require a visa to enter a number of countries which we feature. Details on specific visa requirements can be found under the “Important Information” section of each trip.
